Choosing the right timeline template
Need a plan with durations? Use a Gantt-style template such as the project timeline template or event planning. Each task gets its own row, so overlaps and gaps are obvious.
Presenting a story? The horizontal templates — timeline infographic, Ancient Rome — fit one slide and read left to right.
Lots of detail or reading on a phone? Vertical templates like the wedding day timeline and life timeline space events evenly and leave room for notes.
Every template is only a starting point: switch its layout, recolour its categories and add as many events as you like.
